Christmas at the Berkshire Museum

Christmas at the Berkshire Museum

Berkshire Children’s Museum

Pittsfield, MA

Every year, from November through Christmas, the Berkshire Children’s Museum in Pittsfield, Massachusetts has a Festival of Trees. We love this museum, and so do children. It has a comfortable atmosphere, a very warm welcoming. And when bathed in the light of hundreds of trees, Christmas is everywhere.

The festival comes with a theme, and this year’s theme was “story books”–a hard one to meet, by any standards.

This is the Berkshires. Near beautiful Lenox. Near the wonderful Elizabeth’s restaurant. And but an hour from home.

Congrats to all the contestants who did their best.

Is there a first place? Hard to say. But middle schoolers made this, and it left an impact on me:

The tree is made of bottle caps.

The name was “Our Future.”
