Hershey and M&M
Broadway and 48th Streets
Time Square, New York, NY
Every trip to the Big Apple must include a trip to two wonderful places: The Hershey Store and the M&M Store, right on the corners of 48th and Broadway, in the heart of Time Square. Facing uptown, on the left is Hershey; on the right is M&M. One more glitzy than the other.
These are HAPPY places. If you’re in a bad mood, open either door and you will come out smiling. Hershey boasts the largest chocolate bar, and an assortment of delights you’ve never seen. Hershey is extremely small–M&M is three floors high–but do not think this little store doesn’t delight.
M&M, across the street, is HUGE. Three floors of M&M goods, ranging from stemware to clothing to studded leather jackets. Hip music is blaring and the help is at the top and bottom of the escalators dancing and singing to the tunes. I don’t think this part of the job description; just pull the door open and you want to sing and dance, as well.
M&M is three floors high, and I think is a bit more expensive. It takes the extra room up by selling more non food items. It also boasts rows of M&M flavors you’ve never heard of before.
Which store? Both! You simply cannot enjoy one without the other.
