Lizzy Borden–we al know the words to that infamous rhyme! Let’s skip the graphic testimony and get right to the chase: Lizzy Borden lived in a small house but a mile or so from Battleship Cove in Fall River, Massachusetts (See related articles on Battleship Cove). Battleship Cove was one of the most memorable experiences I ever had, when we stayed over night on real battleships as a scouting adventure. The Lizzy Borden House, now a bed and breakfast, is but a stone throw from the largest battleship museum in the country.
I did not stay in the B&B–though you can. It is also a museum open to the public. As a B&B you can stay in “that room” and have the same breakfast “they did” on the morning they met their fate.
It brings to life one of the most infamous unsolved crimes in American History.
