There’s three–yes, three–water parks in Lake George. Six Flags Great Escape, Six Flags Hotel (the only water park in Lake George open year round), and the Lake George Water Slide World.
The Water Side World sits off Route 9 as you enter into Lake George. It is super clean, and offers a large variety of slides and pools, and a huge lazy river.
It’s a great time, but I do have a wee bit of a problem with paying for a locker anywhere I go after paying a decent admission price. Management can change that! The other fault is a wee bit different: The water was freezing!
Granted, we did go in August, and they ended up giving us rain passes because–well, it started raining. But floating around a lazy river while chipping ice with your heels did take away some of the effect.
The wave pool is one of the best I have ever seen, but caution: The waves get BIG. Much larger than in Six Flags. If you have kids with you, I would stay waaaaay back.
