Interactive Neighborhood Kids inc. (ink), located in Gainesville Georgia, is a fun and educational way to spend a day with children. All exhibits at ink are hands on and geared solely to children. What a wonderful way for children to unwind from the chaos and let their imaginations run wild.
As you walk through ink, your child has an opportunity to role play and have hands on experiences as a vet, a dentist, a postal worker, and so much more. There are at least 20 exhibits with new interactive things being added regularly. When I took my kids to ink, they didn’t want to leave. I enjoyed watching as they journeyed through all of the exhibits, each one teaching them a new lesson and giving them a new experience.
Ink features it’s own paint your own pottery studio. You can chose from one of many sizes and designs of pottery and paint them with your child. It was a perfect way to end our day there.
There is a wonderful gift shop that offers a variety of educational gifts. Although there is no café or restaurant in the museum, the gift shop offers snacks and drinks ranging from $.50-$2.00 each.
Ink is open Monday – Saturday from 10 am until 5 pm with an admission charge of $8 for adults and children and on Sunday from 1 pm until 5 pm with a $6 admission for adults and children. There are many events planned throughout the year. To get more information, visit www.inkfun.org or call 770-536-1900.
